i love this! reminds me so much of silent hill, fatal frame, etc... (which makes sense because, well, alternative rock). it has that type of vibe, from a survival horror game with themes of desesperation, which i love so much and i've been trying to make something like that for a long time and i think you hit the mark a 100%

i know that you mentioned nier in the description but to me this honestly screams pokemon all the way through (and i'm sure i would have thought the same even if it was not in gba style!), and not a bad thing because i love the first few gens' music!

The sound font is in fact the Pokemon Emerald soundfont! My comment about Nier is in reference to the hacking minigame, and how it seamlessly transitions between modern and chiptune between segments without changing the soundtracks timing. The first time I heard it while playing it I felt my chest tingle, and I want to make a Replicant (haha) of the style of transition. Im really glad you enjoyed it!
